The Age of The Pioneers
1995
August: Beasiswa 84 started with 3 students and only Rp 100,000/mo allowance.
1996
Donors increased to 13 individuals covering 10 students.
Began donating books to FEUI Library.
1997
Donors increased to 20 individuals supporting 12 students.
1998
Donors increased to 26 individuals supporting 19 students; allowance increased to Rp 150,000/mo.
October: Yayasan Karya Salemba Empat formally established.
1999
Expanded services by providing support for research activities and thesis.
2000
Student recipients increased to 40.
The Period of Growth
2002
Student allowance increased to Rp 250,000/mo.
2004
Support for NON-UI students began at Udayana Univ, Bali.
2005
Began supporting students from Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB).
Total supported students increased to 140.
KSE office moved from Duren Tiga to Pejompongan.
2006
KSE 2005 Financial Report audited by a public accountant.
March: First annual gathering event committed 22 corporate and individual donors.
2007
March: Second annual gathering event committed more than Rp 1bn from 27 corporate and individual donors.
September: KSE office moved to Kebayoran Baru, better enabling the foundation to achieve its visions.
2008
February: Began supporting 50 students from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya.
Total support increased to 357 students.
March: Third annual gathering event.
